
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 22) — Tropical Storm Isang continues to move towards the Batanes Group of Islands, the state weather bureau said in its 2 a.m. advisory on Tuesday.
Isang (international name: Hato) was at 45 km east of Basco, Batanes as of 1 a.m., according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
It’s moving westward at 19 kilometers per hour (kph), with maximum sustained winds of 80 kph near the center, and gustiness of 97 kph.
Signal no. 2 is still up in Batanes, while signal no. 1 is up in Northern Cagayan including the Babuyan group of Islands, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte.
