Manila (CNN Philippines Life) — “Proud kami sa ginawa namin,” Martin Del Rosario defiantly responds when asked whether he’s nervous about the commercial release of his film “Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B,” as a part of this year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino. “Sobrang excited [kami] kasi sa QCinema, konti lang ‘yung nakapanuod, so ngayon nakakatuwa na nationwide na siya,” adds Ryza Cenon, who co-stars with Del Rosario as a mysterious woman who is secretly a manananggal (Jewel) who helps Del Rosario (Nico) get over his broken heart.

The two stars of this “dark romance” take a gender-switching stab at a scene from the film that made it to the top of our “25 best Filipino rom-coms” list, Olivia Lamasan’s “Got 2 Believe.”
