Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 10) — A magnitude-5.4 earthquake shook Lila town in Bohol on Thursday morning.
The earthquake struck an area off Lila at 8:43 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
It said the quake was tectonic in origin with a depth of 521 km. According to Phivolcs, shaking is less felt when quakes have higher depth.
No aftershocks or damages are expected.
Lila is around 37 km away from Tagbilaran City, the provincial capital of Bohol.
