
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 29) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Saturday released a schedule of weekend road repairs in some cities in Metro Manila.
In its advisory, the DPWH said the road repairs started on Friday, but construction areas will be re-opened at 5 a.m. on Monday, July 31.
The road works will affect six major roads in Quezon City, including:
The second lane, southbound direction of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) near Roosevelt Avenue
Second lane of Quirino highway between T. Urbano and Mindanao Avenue
Third lane of Congressional Avenue between Tandang Sora Avenue and Luzon Avenue
Northbound direction of Mindanao Avenue along Mindanao tunnel
First lane of Luzon Avenue, westbound direction between Commonwealth Avenue and Congressional Avenue extension
And second lane, southbound direction of a. Bonifacio avenue between Malindang Street and Labo Street.
For Pasig City, road repairs will resume in the southbound direction of C-5 road near Julia Vargas and in northbound direction of Manila East Road in front of Ortigas Building De Castro.
The northbound direction of MacArthur Highway in Caloocan City near Monumento Circle will also be affected.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority advised affected motorists to take alternate routes.
