
(CNN Philippines, April 10) — Another quake hit the country Monday morning, this time in the Visayas.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 5.4 quake was recorded off the coast of Northern Samar at 8:43 a.m.
The epicenter was 89 kilometers east of Palapag town.
Intensity III was felt in Palapag.
Authorities said Intensity II was recorded for Catarman in Northern Samar; and Cabid-an and Juban in Sorsogon, and
Intensity I in Palo, Leyte; Legazpi City; Masbate City; Borongan, Eastern Samar; Sorsogon City
Phivolcs said it expected no damage from the tremor, but aftershocks may happen.
The Northern Samar tremor followed two strong quakes that hit Batangas at the weekend.

Phivolcs said there may be more aftershocks in Batangas as the Mabini Peninsula fault continues to move.
