More northbound toll collection points to open

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 3) — Motorists heading north of Metro Manila may spend less waiting time at the expressway toll gate as authorities plan to set up more collection points during the Holy Week.

The additional collection points will be put up ony during expected heavy traffic volume on April 7, 8, 12, and 13.

The additional toll collection points for the following plazas are as follows:

Balintawak toll plaza – 30

Mindanao Avenue toll plaza – 15

Tarlac toll plaza – 29

Tipo toll plaza – 12

Fifty-three toll collection points at Bocaue toll plaza will be open for those returning to Manila from April 15-16.

All road work on North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will be temporarily halted from April 7-17.

Meanwhile, from Holy Wednesday (April 12) to Easter Sunday (April 16), the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) will be offering services such as free phone calls, Wi-Fi, mechanic, and first aid treatment at certain points along NLEX, the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, and the Manila-Cavite Expressway.

Motorist camps will also offer free water.
