PBA: TNT escapes with 92-89 victory over Blackwater

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — TNT KaTropa pulled off a 92-89 win against Blackwater Elite Friday evening at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Roger Pogoy paced KaTropa with 24 points, four rebounds, and three assists.

The Elite started the match on a strong note, but TNT managed to bounce back and cut the deficit to single possession, 41-39, at the halftime break.

A 9-0 rally by KaTropa led by Jayson Castro in the final quarter propelled them to their second victory in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Import Donte Greene had an impressive debut for TNT as he tallied 22 points and 13 rebounds.

Greg Smith finished with 22 points and 31 rebounds, while Kyle Pascual and Ryan Buenafe added 12 points apiece for Blackwater who remained winless after four outings.

KaTropa will next face the NLEX Road Warriors on April 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
