
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Several parts of Visayas and Mindanao are experiencing bad weather due to the tail-end of a cold front, causing floods to the affected areas, the weather bureau said on Thursday.
As of 11 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued an orange rainfall warning in the following areas in Visayas:
Southern Leyte
Bohol
PAGASA hoisted a yellow rainfall warning in the following Visayas provinces:
Cebu
Siquijor
For Mindanao, PAGASA issued a yellow rainfall warning as of 10 p.m. in the following areas:
Misamis Oriental
Bukidnon
Lanao del Norte
Surigao del Sur
Surigao del Norte
Dinagat Island
Agusan del Norte
Agusan del Sur
Camiguin
A yellow rainfall warning means flooding could be expected in low-lying areas, as 7.5-15 mm of rainfall is expected within one hour and is likely to continue in the next two hours.
For orange rainfall warning, intense rain of 15-30 mm could be expected within an hour, with flooding being considered as a definite threat.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said light to moderate rain may affect the following areas:
Zamboanga del Norte
Zamboanga Sibugay
Davao City
Davao Oriental
North Cotabato
Lanao del Sur

Continuous rain had caused severe flooding in several areas in the Visayas.
Anthony Damalerio of the Bohol Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office said seven barangays in the municipality of Alicia are still flooded as of 9:30 p.m. The area was put under a state of calamity at 5 p.m.
Residents in flooded barangays in Alicia and Candijay, Bohol have already been evacuated.
Danilo Atienza of the Southern Leyte DRRMO said two barangays in the Saint Bernard municipality had forced evacuation. They are also monitoring the high tide.
Armed Forces of the Philippines spokesman Restituto Padilla said twelve barangays in Butuan, Agusan del Norte were ordered to carry out forced evacuation due to the rising water level of the Agusan River.
He said Butuan City was declared under state of imminent danger of loss of lives and properties.
In both Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon, several bridges are being monitored due to the rising water levels of rivers, according to Maj. Gen. Benjamin Madrigal, Commander of the AFP 4th Infantry Division.
Residents in some affected areas have preemptively evacuated.
Valencia, Bukidnon was put under a state of calamity.
In Agusan del Sur, at least four low-lying barangays are submerged, with heavy flooding in eight more barangays.
