Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Jeron Teng showed everyone why he’s one of the best amateur players in the country today.
Teng dropped 42 points in his PBA D-League debut and led AMA Online Education to a 101-95 victory over Batangas on Thursday afternoon at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The former La Salle standout’s output was the second highest in league history, only behind James Martinez’ 58-point effort recorded last year.
“Sa kanya nagsisimula yung fire ng team at importante yung leadership nya sa loob,” coach Mark Herrera said of Teng.
