₱1-million reward up for tipster vs. killers of Customs Deputy Commissioner Lachica

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) – The Department of Finance (DOF) announced  a ₱1-million bounty for anyone  who can offer help in identifying persons behind  the murder of Bureau of Customs deputy commissioner Arturo Lachica.

In a statement, the DOF said a private individual who asked not to be identified had offered the ₱1-million reward. It promised strict confidentiality and anonymity for the would-be informant.

Those with information relevant to the case can contact head executive assistant Marc Gregory Crisostomo or technical assistant Alddon Christner Ang at 5239215 and 5239219.

According to the Manila Police District, Lachica was murdered on Thursday evening, Nov. 17, along Espana Boulevard. He was on his way home with his driver Romulo Dumaua and bodyguard Ramon Hernandez when an assailant wearing a face mask appeared and shot him multiple times.

The Deputy Commissioner was rushed to the United Doctors Medical Center but was declared dead-on-arrival.
