Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) has announced the pool of Gilas players who will take part in a special draft before the regular 2016 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Draft.
The list was named by SBP President Al Panlilio in a press conference during the halftime of Game 6 of the PBA Governors’ Cup Final series between Barangay Ginebra and the Meralco Bolts on Wednesday evening.
Here are the players in the Gilas pool:

Carl Bryan Cruz
Ed Daquioag
Russel Escoto
Kevin Ferrrer
Jio Jalalon
Von Pessumal
R.R. Pogoy
Mike Tolomia
Arnold Van Opstal
Almond Vosotros
Matthew Wright
Alfonso Gotladera
According to the SBP, the players drafted from the Gilas pool will not be allowed to be dropped or traded by the franchise that drafts them for two years.
For every international competition each team will release their player from the pool, as well as another player not signed with the Gilas program.
The draft order for the Gilas pool will be based on the team’s seeding in the 2015-2016 season.
The 2016 PBA Rookie Draft is set for October 30 at the Robinsons Place Manila.
