Basketball skills coach Ganon Baker to hold Manila camp in May

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Basketball trainer Ganon Baker is visiting Manila soon.

Baker, a world-famous skills coach, will bring his training camp in the Philippines for the first time at the Ronac Center in San Juan City from May 16 to 20.

Baker, whose camp targets local basketball players who want to enhance their on-court skills, has worked closely with NBA icons such as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Amar’e Stoudemire, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Vince Carter.

He has a school called Elev8 which is located in Florida, USA.

Assisting Baker in Manila for the event dubbed as the Ganon Baker Basketball Camp Manila 2016 are Eric Banes, a certified skills coach and strength and conditioning specialist, and coaches Mon Jose and Aris Dimaunahan.

The camp seeks to train young male and female basketball players, aged 12 to 18 years old. It is also open to amateur and professional coaches who may want to learn special basketball drills.

“This is a rare opportunity for coaches and players to take advantage of because people spend thousands of dollars to go to Florida to learn these basketball lessons from the master himself,” Bañes said.

“Now they can save on travel expenses, board and lodging and other incidentals because he is coming to Manila. Training with Ganon Baker dramatically changes player performance and coaching approaches.”

The Ganon Baker Camp will run from May 16 to 20, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ronac Center along Ortigas Avenue, San Juan City.
