Koronadal City (CNN Philippines) — More than 2,000 farmers agreed on Tuesday(April 26) to disperse and return home after four days of peaceful rally in front of Regional Center in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
This developed after the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-12) turned over to rally organizers 2,000 bags of rice.

Farmers said they were happy with this even if they originally asked for 15,000 bags of rice. They still considered the initial tranche of aid as a form of victory, as they chanted “yehey, salamat!” (thank you).

Each protester will bring home one sack of rice.
