Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Independent presidential candidate Sen. Grace Poe’s final fate at the Supreme Court will be known by April 9 (Saturday).
Supreme Court (SC) Spokesman Theodore Te said the announcement will be this Saturday — or exactly a month before the May 9 elections.

K to 12, Ejercito cases
Meanwhile, the high court turned down the request to hold oral arguments for petitions challenging the Education Department’s K to 12 program.
Instead, the court directed all parties, both the petitioners and respondents, to submit their memorandum within 20 days from notice.
Also, the justices junked Jorge Antonio Ejercito’s prayer for a temporary restraining order (TRO).
The TRO would have stopped Comelec from printing ballots with his name.
But they required the poll body to comment on the petition within 10 days.
Ejercito sought to remove his name from the ballot for Governor of Laguna.
He argued it will be confusing since his father is also running for the same position in the same province.
