Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Passengers continue to head to the Araneta Center bus terminal in Cubao, Quezon City for their Holy Week exodus.
Policemen are deployed to secure the area — on the lookout for bladed weapons, flammable materials, and illegal drugs that passengers may hide in their luggage.

Authorities said around 13,000 people are expected to flock the bus terminal by Wednesday (March 23).
They continue to remind passengers to be alert ahead of the Holy Week rush.
Quezon City Police District Chief Supt. Edgardo Tinio requested travelers to pack light.
He also reminded passengers not to post their Holy Week activities on social media so they don’t attract possible robberies in their homes.
Meanwhile, around 80 bus drivers will undergo random drug testing. Transport regulators will confiscate the license of those who test positive for illegal drugs.
As of this posting, bus tickets are still available for passengers bound for the Visayas and Southern Luzon.
