
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Authorities continue their search for a crew member who went missing in Romblon after the fishing vessel he was on collided with a ship early Saturday morning (February 13).
The missing person was identified as Junior Ramillo by the Philippine National Police (PNP) in San Fernando, Romblon.
Local news agency Romblon News Network reported that rescuers from the Philippine Coast Guard, PNP, and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in San Fernando are involved in the search and rescue operation.

The sea mishap involving a fishing vessel and a ship of 2GO shipping lines happened around 5 a.m. at Barangay Españado in the town of San Fernando. According to local police, the fishing vessel got cut in half due to the collision.
It was carrying the owner, 19 listed crew, and a local fisherman.
Out of the 20 rescued, three crew members were wounded and were given first aid.

Aram Madera, 32, captain of the fishing vessel

Police said the estimated cost of damage from the mishap is around P2.5 million.
