Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is calling for individuals to volunteer for the restoration of the Manila Metropolitan Theatre (MET) in a series of clean-up drives that will run until the month of May.
The series of clean up drives, which began on December 12, 2015, is one of the first steps of the NCCA to fully restore the MET and bring back its glory from the past.

It will commence every weekend and will compose mainly of architecture students whom will benefit more of the project since the theatre is a historical architectural treasure.
However, the drive was opened to public lately but is limited to 60 volunteers per session, 50 of which will be students. The volunteers will concentrate on scrubbing and washing the theater’s facade.
Interested volunteers can go to the METamorphosis Facebook page and sign up for the clean-up sessions on March 19, and April 16 and 30. They can also call the NCCA at 5272192 or e-mail mettheatermanila@ncca.gov.ph.
