Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Eric “The Natural” Kelly of the Philippines fell to Ev Ting in the main event of the ONE Championship: Clash of Heroes event in Malaysia on Friday (January 30).
Ting got the better of Kelly in the third round of their bout, after finding a way to lock in a mounted Guillotine that left his opponent no choice but to tap out.
It wasn’t all gloom for the Filipino fighters though, as both Eduard “Landslide” Folayang and Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio notched victories in their respective fights.
Folayang dominated opponent Tetsuaya Yamada over three rounds, earning him a unanimous decision victory.
Esutaquio on the other hand finished his fight in electrifying fashion, scoring a knockout win over Malaysia’s own Saiful Merican in the first round of their contest.
