NBA All-Star reserves announced

Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green and Detroit Pistons’ Andre Drummond will make their first appearance at the All-Star game as reserves.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — It was the fans who voted to select the starters for the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star event in Toronto, Canada in February, but this time it was the coaches’ turn to decide who would round out the rosters for both Western and Eastern Conferences.

Three players will make their debut as All-Star reserves, with Draymond Green, Andre Drummond, and Isaiah Thomas representing their respective conferences.

Notable players not included in the list includes Portland Trailblazers’ talisman Damian Lillard, Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, and veterans Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich will lead the Western All-Stars while newly-minted Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue was tasked to coach the Eastern Conference.
