Cebu City (CNN Philippines) – Despite the rainy weather forecast, all of the open air activities for the 51st International Eucharistic Congress (IEC) are pushing through on Thursday (January 28), including the Visita Iglesia, or an on-foot tour of delegates to churches.

They will be visiting at least seven different churches including the most popular Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.

IEC Youth Day

Another highlight for the fifth day of the IEC is the IEC 2016 Youth Day, which young delegates will celebrate in a night vigil in Lapu-Lapu City.

This will give foreign and Filipino delegates a chance for a spiritual and cultural exchange.

Some Irish delegates told CNN Philippines that the faith Filipinos are displaying in Ireland and also in the Philippines during the congress is encouraging them to kick-start a faith revival back home.
