
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The administration of President Benigno Aquino III received a “good” +39 net satisfaction rating for the last quarter of 2015, the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed.

The nationwide survey conducted from December 5 to 8, showed public satisfaction with the overall performance of the national government is up by two points from the +37 it recorded in September.
Six in 10 respondents said they are satisfied with the overall performance of the Aquino administration, while the rest were either dissatisfied or undecided.
A total of 1,200 respondents aged 18 and above were asked the question, “Sa pangkalahatan, gaano po kayo nasisiyahan o hindi nasisiyahan sa kasalukuyang administrasyong nasyonal?”
[Translation: “Overall, how satisfied or dissatisfied are you with the current national administration?”]
SWS said the survey was non-commissioned, claiming a margin of error of ±3 percent.
“Very bad” at serving justice for Maguindanao massacre case
Among specific issues, the Aquino government received the highest +36 rating for helping the poor. It also received a “good” satisfaction rating for the following: foreign relations (+35), promoting the welfare of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) (+32), and defending the country’s territorial rights (+30).
However, the administration obtained the lowest mark when it comes to “resolving the Maguindanao massacre case with justice.” It received a “very bad” -57 rating.

It also obtained a “moderate” +18 rating for its efforts in restoring peace in Mindanao.
While it received a neutral (from +7 to -1) rating for the following issues:
Fighting terrorism
Rehabilitating areas damaged by conflict in Mindanao
Reconciliation with Muslim rebels
Fighting crimes
Ensuring that no family will ever be hungry
Reconciliation with Communist rebels
Eradicating graft and corruption
Fighting inflation
Malacañang grateful for public affirmation
Presidential Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma said Malacañang is grateful for the public’s affirmation.
“This prods government to intensify efforts to fully implement the reform and development programs that promote the well being of our people. Attainment of the goal to achieve inclusive growth requires sustained dedication and perseverance,” Coloma said.
The current rating, though slightly higher, is still 25 points lower than in September 2010, when the first survey was conducted under Aquino’s term.
