
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Manila Police District’s (MPD) Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) advised motorists to take alternate routes on Thursday (January 7) as devotees take part in the procession of replicas of the Black Nazarene.

The MDTEU said the following roads will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday:
Southbound lane of Quezon Blvd. (Quiapo), from Andalucia/Fugoso to Plaza Miranda
C.M. Recto Ave./Evangelista St.
C.M. Recto Ave./S.H. Loyola St.
España/P. Campa/Lerma
It advised motorists to take these alternate routes instead:
From España to Roxas Blvd./South Pier Zone/Taft Ave:
turn right to P. Campa, then straight to Fugoso St. to point of destination
Vehicles using Quezon Blvd. coming from Andalucia:
turn right to Fugoso, then left at Rizal Ave. to point of destination
Vehicles using C.M. Recto coming from Divisoria area:
U-turn at Evangelista cut to point of destination
Vehicles using S.H. Loyola St. from Balic-Balic area to Quiapo:
turn left to C.M. Recto Ave. to point of destination
