
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Riding the crest of its second round sweep, Gilas Pilipinas eyes a semifinals berth as it takes on Lebanon in the quarterfinals of the 2015 FIBA Asia Championship in Changsha, China.

Gametime is set at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday (October 1) at the Changsha Social Work College Gymnasium.
The Filipinos are coming off a major upset of defending champion Iran and a convincing 99-65 victory over India at the end of the second round.

If the Philippines advances to the penultimate stage, it will face the winner of the Qatar-Japan quarterfinal matchup. During the second round, Gilas had to bleed to score a 73-66 win over the Japanese.
Heavyweight teams Iran, China and South Korea duke it out in the other bracket.
Host-country China, the only unbeaten squad in the biennial meet so far, will take on India, while Hammed Haddadi and the Iranians engage South Korea in what is expected to be a nip-and-tuck contest.
