
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — A non-commissioned survey by Pulse Asia recently revealed that Sen. Grace Poe consistently leads the presidential polls.
Poe came out on top again after 26 percent of respondents said they prefer her as the next chief executive.
In the latest survey which was conducted September 8 to 14, the lady senator beat 11 other probable contenders for the presidency.
Liberal Party (LP) standard bearer Mar Roxas, Vice President Jejomar Binay of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte are in a virtual tie for second place.
Roxas got 20 percent, a slim lead over Binay’s 19 percent and Duterte’s 16 percent.
Poe also topped the vice presidential race with 24 percent, while her running mate, Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, trailed close behind with 23 percent.
Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. finished in third place with 13 percent.
