Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Motorists taking the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will have to contend with just two lanes on the way out of Metro Manila to give way to a huge gathering of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) members on Saturday evening (September 26).
According to the NLEX management, the first two outer lanes of the thoroughfare had been assigned to those heading to the Philippine Arena where an evangelical mission was scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the third and fourth lanes were for vehicles going straight up north.
The Bible-sharing event was described as the largest evangelical mission in the history of the INC — and was expected to last the entire evening.
As of posting time, traffic remained light in the area, although vehicles had to slow down before reaching Ciudad de Victoria due to concrete barriers.
Traffic was also light at the Balintawak toll plaza and at the Bocaue exit for Manila-bound motorists.
