UAAP: La Salle bounces back, thrashes Adamson

Jeron Teng led the way for the Taft-based squad with 18 markers and nine boards.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Picking themselves up from a blowout loss, the De La Salle Green Archers routed the Adamson Falcons, 88-71, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) on Sunday (September 20) at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Jeron Teng led the way for the Taft-based squad with 18 markers and nine boards, while Thomas Torres chipped in with 16.

After their lackluster performance against the FEU Tamaraws, the Archers needed a big game to put them back on track. And what a game did they have.

The Archers rolled on to a hot start and propelled a 23-6 run to head into the second quarter with a 24-10 advantage.

That set the tone for the rest of the game.

Papi Sarr paced the Falcons with 18 points and 16 rebounds.

The Green Archers will look to improve on their 2-2 slate against the UE Red Warriors on September 27. Adamson, meanwhile, hopes to notch its first victory this season when it takes on NU Bulldogs on September 23.
