Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) has released the men’s seniors basketball schedule for Season 78 on Monday (August 17).
The University of the Philippines (UP) hosts this year’s edition of the tournament, and will usher in the season against the University of the East (UE) at the Araneta Coliseum on September 5.
The defending champion National University will begin its title defense against De La Salle University on September 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena at 2 p.m.

Games will be held on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while venues will be at the Araneta Coliseum and the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Cheerdance Competition is on October 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
