Zamboanga City (CNN Philippines) — Four jail prisoners are now on the run after a jailbreak occurred in Isabela City, Basilan early Monday morning (August 17).
Police sources identified the escapees as Muslimin “Pogi” Sayuman, Kayser Nassan, Bigmar Boso and Garwas Hakim Asadi.
The four inmates reportedly escaped by cutting the grill of the ventilation window of their jail cell with the use of a hacksaw at around 4:30 a.m.
As of this posting, Isabela police and personnel from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology are conducting a manhunt.
