
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has announced the Azkals’ preliminary lineup for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Uzbekistan on Monday (August 17).

A notable absentee is former captain Rob Gier, who is still nursing an injury sustained during the clash against Bahrain. Also missing from the previous lineup is Global FC forward Mark Hartmann and Loyola goalkeeper Tomas Trigo.
Taking up their spots are Global and U-23 Azkals goalkeeper Florencio Badelic Jr., Ceres-La Salle midfielder Paul Mulders, and Servette FC shot stopper Roland Muller.
The Azkals are set to face Maldives at the Rizal Memorial Football stadium on September 3 before taking on Uzbekistan in their World Cup Qualification fixture at the Philippine Sports Stadium on September 8.
