Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — The first batch of photos of the new pandas from the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3 film have been released.
In Kung Fu Panda, Po (Jack Black) works in his family’s noodle shop and dreams of becoming a kung-fu master. It came true where he was unexpectedly chosen to be the Dragon Warrior. Together with the Furious Five, they were tasked to stop an evil snow leopard from destroying their peaceful village.
Continuing his journey in Kung Fu Panda 2, Po the Dragon Warrior protects the Valley of Peace with the Furious Five. However, a vengeful villain threatens Po’s new life with plans to conquer China and eliminate martial arts for good.
The latest installment of the hit animated franchise will tell the story of Po’s reunion with his long lost father Li (Bryan Cranston) as they discover a secret panda paradise where they will also meet new friends like an aspiring ribbon dancer named Mei Mei (Rebel Wilson).
In addition to Cranston and Wilson, Black will be joined by returning casts Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, and David Cross.
Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni will co-direct the movie, which is slated to hit theaters on January 29, 2016.
