
(CNN Philippines) — The Philippine women’s basketball team gained steam in the fourth period on their way to a 74-63 victory over Malaysia in the Southeast Asian Games on Thursday (June 11).
Perlas Pilipinas, which blasted Vietnam on Wednesday, now holds a 2-1 win-loss record in the regional meet.

With 6:34 to go, Allana Lim scored on an undergoal stab as the Filipinas took a 57-51 lead and kept the Malaysians at bay for the rest of the way.
Malaysia, though, showed signs of resistance, with Bik Ing Lau unleashing a three-pointer with 20.8 ticks left, 71-63.
But the Philippines held its fort and went on to secure its second victory in three outings.
Cindy Resultay shut the door on Malaysia by munching a pair of shots from the stripe.
