
(CNN Philippines) — The Philippine women’s basketball team went in overdrive in the second half on its way to a 100-55 shellacking of Vietnam in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games Wednesday (June 10).
Allana Lim scored game-high 17 points for Perlas Pilipinas, who bounced back from an opening defeat to Thailand Tuesday.

Clare Castro imposed his towering presence inside the paint and finished with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Afril Bernardino added 10 points.
With a 32-11 barrage in the penultimate period, the Perlas Pilipinas turned a relatively tight contest into a clinic. Merenciana Arayi wrapped up the quarter with a corner triple, 68-40.
As if the beating wasn’t enough, the Filipino cagers continued to fire at will and dropped another 32-point bomb in the deciding quarter.
Cindy Resultay put the icing on the cake with a split from the line.
Meanwhile, Vietnam absorbed its second straight loss.
Ngoan Huynh paced the team with 15 points and five boards.
