Kobe Paras retains FIBA 3×3 Slam Dunk crown

In his penultimate dunk in the finals, Kobe Paras literally jumped over his whole team.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Team Philippines bowed out of the FIBA 3×3 Under-18 World Championships, but they won’t exactly go home empty-handed.

Well, at least Kobe Paras.

Paras defended his Slam Dunk contest title Monday (June 8 PHT), besting American Jalek Felton.

In the final match, Felton wowed the crowd with a between-the-legs slam.

But to rule the slam dunk competition, Paras needed the help of teammate Ricci Rivero.

For his contest-clinching act, the Filipino basketball prodigy jumped over Rivero for a two-handed reverse throw down, which earned a perfect score of 30 from the judges.
