(CNN Philippines) — Grammy Award-winning artist Sam Smith on Monday (May 4) has announced on his official Facebook page that his May 10 concert at the Mall of Asia Arena has been cancelled.
Smith stated in the post that he still has serious issues with his vocal cords which need to be addressed and that he has to fly to the U.S. to see a specialist.
Prior to this, Smith canceled his Australian tour due to a vocal chord hemorrhage.
Despite the cancellation, the post stated that Smith will “reschedule the shows to later this year.”
His hit song “Stay With Me” is the 2014 Grammy Awards’ Song of the Year and Record of the Year, while his album In The Lonely Hour won the Album of the year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
