(CNN Philippines) — The Shopinas.com Lady Clickers defeated the Cignal HD Spikers in straight sets, 25-18, 25-17, 30-28, to put their two-game slide to a halt in the Philippine SuperLiga All Filipino Conference on Monday (April 13) at the Cuneta Astrodome.
After cruising in the first two sets, Shopinas had to fight their way in a grueling third set to end the first round of the eliminations with a victory.
Cha Cruz, who was appointed as the league’s new ambassadress, scored a game-high 13 points, eight coming from spikes.
Stephanie Mercado added 11 for the Lady Clickers, while Rizza Mandapat chipped in 10 of her own.
Cherry May Vivas paced the HD Spikers with 11 points.
The loss was Cignal’s fourth in five matches.
