Metro Manila, Philippines - The Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles completed a comeback 78-74 win over the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors to snap a five-game losing streak on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The Blue Eagles came back from an 11-point deficit in the second half to notch their first victory in exactly a month in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament.

Kymani Ladi topscored for Ateneo with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Divine Adili dropped 15 points - 10 of which came in the fourth quarter - and 13 rebounds for the Katipunan-based squad.

Wello Lingolingo, who just returned from a three-game suspension, finished with a game-high 19 points, five rebounds, and four assists as the Red Warriors fell to 0-10 in the team standings - their 16th consecutive loss since last season.

With the victory, the Blue Eagles kept their Final Four hopes alive and improved their win-loss record to 5-5.

Ateneo will next battle archrivals De La Salle University Green Archers on Nov. 9 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

UE, meanwhile, hopes to put an end to its woes when it faces the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons on Nov. 8 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila.
