Actor Gerald Anderson helps stranded family in Quezon City

Metro Manila, Philippines — Actor Gerald Anderson captured the hearts of many after a new video of him helping a family stranded in floodwaters in Quezon City went viral on Wednesday, July 24.

In a 47-second clip uploaded by X (former Twitter) user @TmaeOsanomae, Anderson was seen talking to a woman while waiting to rescue a child.

“Ako ang bahala sa iyo,” Anderson told the kid as they moved away from the flooded area.

Some of the relatives of the family rescued by Anderson thanked the actor for his kindness.

“Sir Gerald, alagaan niyo muna ang pamangkin ko diyan sa gym niyo,” a Facebook user commented.

[Translation: Sir Gerald, please take care of my nephew there at your gym.]

“Thank you for rescuing our relatives, Salute to you, Gerald Anderson,” another relative replied.

Netizens also pointed out that the actor demonstrated bravery in previous calamities.

“Not the first time. Magaling din kasi lumangoy,” a netizen commented.
